Camera Movements:
For the camera movements projects, I learned how different movements, such as pans and tilts, can change and create the mood of a scene. At first, it was difficult to perfect the shot to how we wanted, but eventually we got the hang of it, and it became quite easy. A challenge we faced was trying to match the lighting to set the mood for our story. If I did it again, I would ensure that we put more planning into the project.
Camera Angles and Shots:
In this project, we followed the journey of a pen that at first feels insignificant and ignored, to having its purpose fulfilled. I incorporated close-ups, POV's and high angles to show the pen's importance. A challenge I had was making an everyday object interesting, but I believe I reached my goal. Next time, I would choose an easier/more interesting subject for the story.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, both projects showed me how camera choices have a big impact on a story. The movements and angles create emotions, while keeping the story in flow.
